UNIFORMS: CARE & WEAR

Cadets are taught how to maintain and wear their uniform as part of their training - some key instructions are posted here for individual reference.

WHAT CADETS RECEIVE:

Field Training Uniform (FTU):

  • Beret (RCAF Blue, with fabric cap badge)

  • T-Shirt (Dark Blue)

  • FTU Shirt (Olive Drab)

  • FTU Pants (Olive Drab)

  • Multi-Purpose Boot

  • Socks (Grey)

Dress Uniform:

  • Wedge Cap with fabric cap badge

  • Short sleeve dress shirt (Light Blue) and Necktie (Black)

  • Tunic with 3" Belt (Blue) and Shoulder Flashes (Unit Identifiers)

  • Dress Pants (Blue) and Web Belt (Black w/ Silver Buckle)

  • Parade Boots (may be substituted by the multi-purpose boot)

  • Air Cadet Toque and Gloves

  • Parka (Consisting of a Parka Shell / Rain Jacket, and detachable liner / All-Season Jacket)

CCO-100 CJCR Dress Instructions is the official standard for all aspects of uniforms and personal appearance in the Canadian Cadet Organizations. It explains how to wear the uniform, among many other useful instructions.

800 RCAirCS Standing Orders contain information in Chapter 4, and Annex A, which summarize and clarify the local interpretation of CCO-100.
